These pictorial worksheets are practice sheets to fill in the correct alphabet and write the words with the help of given images.

Swar Vyanjan - Words with matra of Ri ( ऋ ki matra )

Ri / ऋ  matra is used for Sanskrit words. It is pronounced as ‘Ri’.

The matra of ऋ is placed at the bottom of the alphabet, e.g. – कृ,गृ, पृ.....

The pictorial worksheets include simple two/three letter words. The words included in practice sheets are common words used in the Hindi language.

Swar Vyanjan – Matra O /Ow (ओ / औ ki matra )

The last set of matras is O/Ow - ओ / औ

When we come to the practice of matras of ओ / औ the first word which comes to our mind is ओ - ओखली or औ - औरत.

The pictorial worksheets show the instructions as to how a matra is placed after the alphabet.

Once children have learnt to identify the alphabets, half the battle is won but the difficult part is to remember is the group to which it belongs. Hindi alphabets are divided into four groups according to their pronunciation.

Swar Vyanjan - Words with matra of O, Oo (उ,ऊ)

When we come to the matras of उ / ऊ the first word which comes to our mind is उल्लू or owl and ऊन or a ball of knitting wool.  

The matra of उ / ऊ is placed at the bottom of the alphabet. 

e.g. – उ - कु, चु, टु ... / ऊ - कू, चू, टू ...

But in alphabet र, it is placed in the mid of the alphabet.

e.g. - उ – रु, ऊ - रू

The pictorial worksheets include simple two/three letter words whereas some in some sheets kids have to join the alphabets, write and read the words.
