In the previous post of gender for kids of classes 1, 2, 3 the basic introduction to the topic, Gender was discussed.
· The next step is to playfully introduce the basic rules of changing gender form to another by adding suffix.
लड़का – लड़की (‘ई’ की मात्रा जोड़ कर)
माली
- मालिन (‘इन’ जोड़ कर)
हाथी - हथिनी (‘इनी’ जोड़ कर)
चूहा - चुहिया (‘इया’ जोड़ कर)
बालक – बालिका (‘इका’ जोड़ कर)
मोर - मोरनी (‘नी’ जोड़ कर)
· It is Important to note that some nouns fall under masculine or feminine gender only and we add feminine or masculine before changing the gender.
नर खरगोश – मादा खरगोश
· Some inanimate words fall under masculine gender only.
अखबार, कागज़, कमरा, पानी, दही..........
· Some inanimate words fall under feminine gender only.· Some nouns have an entirely different word when genders are changed.आग, आवाज़, घास, शाम, भीड़ .........
आदमी - औरत
लड़का - लड़की
श्रीमान - श्रीमती ......
